Monthly Charity Sew Day
Join in the sharing and stitching projects for those in need on the first Monday of each month, 9am-12noon, in the Textile Arts Center.
We'll be stitching up dog beds for the Paws and Claws Animal Shelter in Apache Junction, placemats for Meals on Wheels, drawstring back packs for Helen's Hope Chest and American Heroes Quilts.
Come for all or a part of the day.

AZ Blankets 4 Kids
AZ Blankets 4 Kids is an all-volunteer non-profit organization serving children in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The goal is to provide comforting blankets and quilts to seriously ill and traumatized children in our community.
SSV members and community members meet several times a month to create quilts for this special group.
The SSV Textile Arts Center also hosts an annual Arizona Blankets 4 Kids Quilting Bee in the Auditorium from 9:30am to 3:30pm on the first Saturday in April.
This event is open to everyone who wants to help make comfort quilts for kids. You do not need to be a quilter or seamstress to participate.
​Here at the SSV quilting bee we provide morning coffee and snacks plus door prizes and a 50/50 raffle just for coming and helping with any of the assembly tasks. Lunch, including dessert, will be available.
AZ Blankets 4 Kids is an all-volunteer non-profit organization serving children in need in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The goal is to provide comforting blankets and quilts to needy, seriously ill and traumatized children in our community. Since inception in 2001, AZ Blankets for Kids has donated over 100,000 blankets to agencies serving children in the state of Arizona.
AZ Blankets 4 Kids welcomes all handmade blankets, whether you knit, crochet, quilt, hand or machine sew. Fabrics should be washable and in child-friendly fabrics and colors. Your tender loving care means so much to a child in need.
