Room Monitor Guidelines

SSV-TAC Room Monitor Guidelines Revised December, 2016

1. Know where the machines and instruction manuals are stored. A basic knowledge of TAC sewing machines is helpful, but not necessary.

2. Be familiar with the location of sewing supplies. Post a written request for supplies on the Equipment Manager's message center.

3. Remind people to sign in to the room. If they are using a TAC machine, they need to record the machine number after their name.

4. Each TAC machine has a small service booklet. Remind people to record their usage. This helps the Equipment Manager know when the machine needs service based upon usage.

5. Report any problems:

Red Mountain Room: File a repair request in the HOA office for structural or mechanical maintenance.

TAC Equipment: Attach an "Out of Order" note on broken machine. Post a written request for machine repair with the Equipment Manager. See message center on the Equipment Manager's cabinet for supply and repair request forms.

6. Unlock interior cabinets.

7. Check condition of irons: Drain water and unplug at the end of shift.

8. Clean countertops as needed.

9. Redistribute chairs.

10. Lock all interior cabinets. Double check.

11.Turn off the lights.

12. Lock exterior door. Double check.
